Remains abreast of developments in the field(s) by pursuing a program of self-development, participating in professional organizations, interacting with peers, reviewing pertinent literature, and so forth.Provide feedback to peers (BUMs, WCMs, Functional Managers (FMs) on cost and cost trends.Provide regular updates to BUM, WCM, and Operations Manager on the execution of the strategy.Develop an understanding of the Workcell business strategy as it pertains to Inventory Control.Define, develop and implement an Inventory Control strategy, which contributes to the campus strategic directions.Facilitate any physical inventories as necessary.Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies & procedures.Hire, onboard, supervise and develop a team of front-line supervisors and their subordinate hierarchy levels in Inventory Control / Quality Assurance operations within the Fulfillment Centers.Review & analysis of customer defect data incl.Create, manage and support recognition and communication programs that foster an environment of teamwork for associates.Manage and support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.High accountability and proactive communication and issues identification.Review & analyze customers / suppliers issue data with development of corresponding action plans to reduce issues.Ability to work in a fast paced environment with limited structure and hierarchy, comfort with uncertainty, short decision cycles and rapid pace of changes.Work fluidly in a highly cross-functional team environment involving manufacturing and product development teams, buyers, manufacturing engineers, logistics operations people and finance teams.Work with Engineering and Purchasing to plan for material and product end of life (EOL).Continually evaluates internal processes and materials conducts external research to improve the control of the inventory As an Inventory Manager, you will monitor and report on the company’s inventory.Use Lean/Sigma, 5S, DMAIC and other continuous improvement tools to foster a culture whereby Lean/Sigma is utilized to continuously improve the processes.Work with Cost Control Accounting to implement and execute accurate material planning and consumption processes.Work with the ERP (MES, Warp, WMS) systems support personnel to leverage the system for improved material control, inventory accuracy and transparency.Work with Buyers, Materials Handlers, Production, Quality, and Logistics to ensure timely and accurate transaction of material movements for production, consumption during backflush, and disposition of any non-conforming materials through MRB.Responsibilities for inventory control manager
